Lammasingi (Lambasingi) is a small village in the Eastern Ghats of Chintapalli Mandal of Visakhapatnam district, Andhra Pradesh. Lammasingi is often referred as “Kashmir of Andhra Pradesh” or South India. the area is cooler than the surrounding plains and is covered in moist deciduous forest cover. This is the only place in Southern India, where you can experience snowfall sometimes in winter. Lammasingi which can now be called as a hill station is situated at about 100 km from Vishakhapatnam and perched at an height of 1000 meters above sea level. There are several coffee, pine, and eucalyptus plantations around the area and some small attempts to grow apple and strawberry. The local people are engaged in the pepper and coffee plantations. The cool wind which blows from the forests and valleys of Chintapalli area makes the Lammasingi Hillock cool and foggy. Lammasingi weather is mostly cool and can get freezing in the months of December and January.
