Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) is ready to launch it’s own e-commerce marketplace bharatemarket.in in October 2020.
The traders’ body said: “Inline of aligning physical trade with e-commerce, the CAIT is all set to launch its e-commerce portal Bharatemarket.in in October.”
BharatEMarket.in will be launched in a partnership with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
CAIT would be getting traders onboard on a platform in which every registered trader would have his own online shop.
Secretary General of CAIT Praveen Khandelwal said that they shall be providing the technology platform where traders will create e-store of every trader. Putting a price is the domain of the traders.
The portal would have a digitally enabled payment system and the association would also provide logistics and other support by enlisting their logistics partners and traders would be able to choose their partners.
The nationwide platform would provide a B2B and B2C e-commerce platform for small retailers and traders.
The body claims that it will list its 7 crore traders and nearly 40,000 trade associations it represents on the marketplace under the ‘Phygital model’.
“Marketplace will bring your neighbourhood stores closer to you – just a click away. Simply order on BharatEMarket and get served by those you have trusted for years and even generations,” according to the upcoming portal.
